Chapter # 10: Capitalization
Capitalization is the use of uppercase letters at the beginning of certain words according to grammar rules. Capital letters are used for the first word of a sentence, proper nouns, names of people and places, days, months, nationalities, and titles. Correct capitalization makes writing clear, formal, and grammatically accurate. Incorrect use of capital letters can lead to grammatical mistakes and confusion. In MDCAT English preparation, students learn capitalization rules to improve writing skills, sentence correction, and error detection in entry test MCQs.
